6.Trying to fit in

As a fresh graduate of high school of Holy Rosary Academy of Las Pinas City,I didn't know what school I was going to choose. Until my mom, her friend and my friend recommended me Asia Pacific College. At first, of course I asked, where is that? Am I going to fit in to that school? Are there any uniform that they require? These are the piercing questions that I encountered when I was making a decision.

Now, I am here, making this blog. Sitting at the library of one of the finest school in Metro Manila. For me, it's an honor to study in this kind of school because it's top 14 on the most expensive schools in Manila.

Look at us, right on the top of our faces is the smile of joy.
1st runner up. I thought it's not enough.
I never thought that with full patience and focus, we could achieve what's right for us.
But for real, I thought we would just achieve 2nd runner up or 4th place.
As my point of view, I felt hopeless when the host announced the 2nd runner up, We felt a little down, why? For them it's not enough. For me, it was enough to prove that we did our best.

I proved myself that I'm not the guy who will just stand and wait for orders. No, I conquered my fears to lead and to be a leader to a group. I was scared to lead. To the fact that I don't know what to do and people commenting bad things. I'm just doing what a leader does. To lead and encourage members.

Is this what fitting in means? I don't get it.

  1. Fitting in somehow gives a bad impression. I don't mean to offend but I just want to correct you, you still need to be a person who can stand and wait for orders. Not all the time, you're a leader who can lead a group. Being a leader is a hard job. Doing what a leader does, doesn't make you a leader at all. But understanding and learning from others can make you a leader. And being a leader doesn't mean you always need to lead and encourage the members. We all have a different meaning for what being a leader is, but I tell you, learn from the people who have experiences. You don't always need to stand out but you also need to understand that the fact you don't know what to do and people are commenting bad things, you still need to improve. Try to learn from everybody, it will be a good experience for you. But thank you for sharing this. :)
